Pakistan, Sept. 25 -- Iran has proposed a seven-day truce with the United States before reopening the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi presented the proposal during his visit to the US. He is currently in the country for the UN General Assembly. The plan seeks to end the war and create conditions for talks.
Under the proposal, Iran would reopen the strategic waterway after seven days. However, Tehran has attached several conditions to the proposed arrangement. Araghchi said talks would begin if those conditions receive agreement. He explained the proposal while speaking to several media outlets in the US.
