Pakistan, April 22 -- Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has seized two vessels in the Strait of Hormuz and transferred them to Iranian waters. The move comes amid rising maritime tensions in the strategically vital shipping route. Tehran has described security in the strait as a national red line.
According to the IRGC Navy, the vessels were intercepted as part of operations to maintain order in the waterway. Officials said any disruption to safety in the Strait of Hormuz would not be tolerated. The area is a key global energy transit route.
