Pakistan, July 25 -- Iran's Revolutionary Guards said they stopped four ships attempting to transit the Strait of Hormuz over the past 24 hours. The incident highlights ongoing tensions in one of the world's most critical shipping routes.
According to a statement carried by Iranian state television, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy fired warning shots before stopping the vessels. Officials said the ships were using an illegal and unsafe route in the southern area of the strait.
