Pakistan, Aug. 12 -- Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has claimed that no US warships remain in the Persian Gulf. IRGC spokesman Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi made the claim in a statement. He said the US had deployed 30 to 40 warships during the recent conflict with Iran. However, he claimed that none are currently present in the Gulf.

Mohebbi compared the current US presence with the Iran-Iraq war. He said Washington had deployed more than 100 warships to the Persian Gulf during that conflict.
