Pakistan, Aug. 22 -- Iranian and Omani foreign ministers discussed reviving talks and maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The call came amid continuing regional developments affecting Gulf security.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi spoke with Omani Foreign Minister Seyyed Badr Albusaidi late Friday. According to IRNA, they reviewed conditions for restarting negotiations.

The ministers exchanged views on recent regional developments during their telephone conversation. They also discussed maritime navigation issues affecting the strategic waterway.
