Pakistan, Sept. 19 -- Indian families living in Japan are reportedly ready to accommodate Indian athletes if hotel shortages continue during the Asian Games. Officials said the contingency plan could used if suitable accommodation becomes limited in the coming days.

The Asian Games officially opened in Nagoya and Aichi prefecture on Saturday. However, accommodation arrangements have faced challenges before the event. Japan decided not to build a traditional athletes' village as part of efforts to reduce costs.
