Pakistan, Nov. 1 -- Indian authorities have strengthened security across New Delhi ahead of a major opposition protest march scheduled for Sunday. The demonstration, led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, will demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Opposition parties expect hundreds of thousands of people to join the rally.

Security personnel carrying batons and shields have surrounded the protest venue alongside riot control vehicles. Meanwhile, Delhi authorities have announced possible traffic diversions to manage the expected crowds. Police have also urged participants to cooperate with officials and follow traffic instructions.
