Pakistan, July 28 -- India's Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered authorities to release under-18 protesters detained during demonstrations over exam paper leaks. The court also barred coercive action against protesters and directed officials to preserve evidence related to alleged police conduct.

According to Indian media reports, Chief Justice Surya Kant issued interim directions after petitions were filed by student protesters and activists. The petitions alleged excessive force by police and paramilitary personnel during weeks-long demonstrations.
