Pakistan, July 22 -- Pakistan has issued a flood alert after India released a large volume of water into the Chenab River following heavy rains in occupied Kashmir. Authorities warned that rising water levels could affect nearby areas.
According to Punjab's Irrigation Department, India opened all gates of the Salal Dam after intense rainfall in the region. The released water is expected to reach Wazirabad through the Chenab River within 48 hours.
