Pakistan, Sept. 14 -- India's Home Minister Amit Shah has pledged to expand the controversial Uniform Civil Code across states governed by the ruling alliance. Shah said the government aims to introduce the code in all 21 states under the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance by 2029. At least four states have already implemented the Uniform Civil Code. The move has renewed concerns among Muslim communities over religious freedoms.
