Pakistan, April 26 -- India has announced plans to bid for hosting the 2038 Asian Games in Ahmedabad, marking another major push to position itself as a global sporting destination. The development is significant as it reflects India's long-term strategy to host major international sporting events and expand its global sports infrastructure profile.
Indian Olympic Association President P. T. Usha confirmed that an expression of interest has already been submitted to the Olympic Council of Asia. She said the proposal aims to bring the continental multi-sport event to Ahmedabad, a city already central to India's future sports ambitions.
