Pakistan, July 2 -- India and Japan signed agreements on artificial intelligence, energy, metals, and defence after talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. The deals matter because they deepen strategic and economic cooperation between two key Indo-Pacific partners. Businesses, investors, and regional security stakeholders are expected to benefit.
The agreements were signed during Takaichi's three-day visit to New Delhi. Both leaders also agreed to prepare a joint roadmap on economic security. Takaichi said Japan and India would combine their strengths for shared prosperity. She added that closer cooperation was increasingly important amid global uncertainty.
