Pakistan, July 23 -- The investigation into the death of 18-year-old Nolan Xavier Wells remains unresolved after an independent autopsy commissioned by his family was unable to determine a definitive cause of death. Wells disappeared on the Fourth of July during a boat trip to Horn Island, and his body was recovered the following day, leaving authorities and his family searching for answers.

Two separate investigations are currently underway, including a state inquiry and an independent examination requested by Wells' family. Family attorney Ben Crump shared the preliminary findings of the independent autopsy, explaining that the report did not identify a clear cause of death and that several important questions remain unanswered.
