Pakistan, Oct. 6 -- Authorities have arrested 39 people during a crackdown on a group allegedly operating an illegal call centre in Lahore under the cover of a fake medical billing service?

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Additional Director National Cyber Crime Investigation (NCCIA) Lahore Zone Atif Ameer as part of ongoing action against organised cyber fraud.?

According to the NCCIA spokesperson, the operation followed an inquiry launched on the basis of confidential information. The investigation found that the group was operating in Lahore under the name "MediConvox", presenting itself as a medical billing service provider.?
