Pakistan, Sept. 25 -- The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday questioned the legal authority of the Federal Investigation (FIA) to offload passengers travelling abroad, expressing strong displeasure over the 's reliance on self-created standard operating procedures (SOPs) to prevent passengers from boarding flights.

Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas heard a petition filed by citizen Sajid, with FIA Additional Director Zunaira and Deputy Director Afzal Niazi appearing before the court. During the hearing, the FIA officials produced a 1975 letter before the court, claiming that passengers were being offloaded under SOPs.
