Pakistan, Oct. 11 -- The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has dismissed a petition filed by the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) and upheld the President of Pakistan's decision directing the power utility to provide comprehensive medical treatment and rehabilitation to a nine-year-old girl, Lubaba, who lost both hands in an electrical accident in July 2021.

In its 11-page written judgment, the court directed PESCO to arrange a comprehensive medical assessment of the child at the Armed Forces Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFIRM), Rawalpindi, to determine her current and future treatment and rehabilitation needs.
