Pakistan, Aug. 20 -- The International Cricket Council has withdrawn the demerit point given to Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium after reviewing an appeal against its earlier pitch rating.

The decision followed a review of match footage, referee reports and comments from team captains regarding Pakistan's third ODI against Australia on June 4.

Although the pitch had received an "Unsatisfactory" rating, the ICC Appeals Panel found that its surface did not show excessive unevenness or unusual spin.

Therefore, the demerit point has been completely removed from Gaddafi Stadium's record, giving the Lahore venue a clean disciplinary record following the ruling.
