Pakistan, Sept. 11 -- Iran-aligned Houthis have seized Yemen's port city of Mocha and advanced along the Red Sea coast. Military sources said the group also reached the strategic Hanish Islands. The advance gives the Houthis greater leverage over the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. The waterway connects the Red Sea with the Gulf of Aden and remains vital for global shipping. Meanwhile, Yemeni government forces are moving south toward Dhubab near the strait. Control of Dhubab and nearby Perim Island could strengthen the Houthis' position over the shipping corridor.
