Pakistan, Aug. 11 -- A suspected Houthi attack on a small cargo ship in the Bab el-Mandeb strait killed three crew members on Tuesday.

The Tanzania-flagged Tihamah was reportedly hit off Yemen's al-Mokha coast, according to Yemeni coast guard and military sources. The Houthis have not claimed responsibility.

British maritime security company Ambrey said the vessel was damaged while anchored near Perim Island. UKMTO also reported that a cargo vessel was struck by an unknown projectile.

According to Yemeni sources, two Pakistani crew members and one Indonesian national were killed. The vessel was sailing from Salalah in Oman through Djibouti when the attack occurred.
