Pakistan, Aug. 28 -- Diplomatic efforts over the Iran war are increasingly focusing on reopening the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has agreed to prepare conditions for restoring normal shipping through the waterway. Qatar and Pakistan are supporting efforts to ease tensions between Tehran and Washington. The Strait carried about 20% of global oil supplies before the war. However, shipping activity has sharply declined amid security concerns.
