Pakistan, June 16 -- Hezbollah has welcomed a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States and described it as a step toward easing regional tensions. The group said the agreement has contributed to reduced hostilities across several fronts. It added that any lasting ceasefire depends on compliance by all involved parties, particularly Israel.

The group said no attacks have been launched by it since the announcement of the agreement. It stated that its position on continued calm is conditional on Israel respecting the terms of the deal. Hezbollah also reiterated its rejection of unrestricted Israeli military activity inside Lebanon.
