Pakistan, June 16 -- The National Disaster Management Authority issued a flood alert as heavy rainfall is forecast from June 16 to 20. Authorities warned that intense rain, strong winds, and glacier melt could trigger flooding. The advisory affects residents, tourists, and travellers across northern and upper Pakistan.
According to the NDMA, a westerly weather system will bring thunderstorms, gusty winds, and scattered rainfall to several regions. Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Balochistan, and parts of Sindh are expected to receive rain during the period.
