Pakistan, Aug. 4 -- Torrential rains caused widespread destruction across Abbottabad, where two schoolgirls lost their lives and another remained missing after they were swept away while crossing a rain-swollen nullah. Rescue teams recovered the bodies of two girls, while search operations continued to locate the third. Meanwhile, authorities urged residents to remain alert as heavy rainfall continued to affect several parts of the district.

The intense downpour flooded roads, caused rivers and streams to overflow, and disrupted daily life across the city.
