Pakistan, July 23 -- Lahore was inundated by torrential rainfall on Thursday after 263 millimetres of rain fell in a single spell, causing widespread urban flooding, traffic disruptions and rain-related accidents across the city.

According to the Water and Sanitation (WASA), the highest rainfall was recorded in the Airport area, where 263mm of rain was measured. Other areas also received significant rainfall, including Tajpura (157.4mm), Kahna (143mm), Shadipura (136mm), Mughalpura (133mm), Mall Road (116mm), Manawan (112.2mm), Johar Town (81mm) and Chowk Nakhuda (64.6mm).
