Pakistan, Sept. 22 -- Renowned Pakistani actress Hania Aamir has criticised content creators who turn women's bodies, appearances, age and personal lives into subjects of jokes and entertainment.

In an Instagram story, the 'Visaal' star said that in 2026, using women's bodies, faces, appearances, age and personal lives as a punchline was ridiculous.

Aamir said terming such content as merely an opinion or humour did not remove its impact. She stressed that there was a clear difference between commentary and turning a woman's existence into content.

She said words had consequences beyond the moment in which they were spoken, particularly when they came from people with large platforms.
