Pakistan, Aug. 3 -- At least 52 people, including children, were kidnapped during a weekend attack in Nigeria's northwestern Zamfara state. Armed gunmen on motorcycles stormed Kasuwar Daji village after attacking a nearby military base. They reportedly seized rifles, burned a military patrol vehicle, and then entered the village. As a result, dozens of residents were taken hostage. Local witnesses said the attackers initially abducted more than 100 people before releasing some captives.
