Pakistan, Sept. 22 -- A grand jury has declined to indict anyone in the death of 18-year-old Mississippi teen Nolan Xavier Wells.
Wells disappeared from Horns Island on July 4 during a boat trip with friends. His body was recovered two days later. The circumstances surrounding his death remained under investigation.
District Attorney Angel Myers McIlrath said the grand jury unanimously rejected an indictment. The panel reviewed testimony from witnesses and other evidence. McIlrath said Wells' death had deeply affected the local community.
Court documents said two medical experts found the cause and manner of death undetermined. One was the state medical examiner. The other was hired by Wells' family. Both said drowning was a diagnosis ...
