Pakistan, Aug. 30 -- The government has rejected foreign media reports about Imran Khan's prison conditions and health. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting called the reports misleading and said official records do not support the claims. The ministry said Khan is serving sentences after convictions by courts of competent jurisdiction.
The ministry said Imran Khan can meet visitors, make telephone calls and read books and other material. He can also watch television, receive home-cooked meals and use exercise equipment. Officials said he stays in an exclusive seven-cell compound with sleeping, sanitation and exercise facilities.
