Pakistan, Aug. 21 -- Govt plans nationwide crackdown on illegal call centres following reports of foreign nationals allegedly running networks linked to cyber fraud and obscene content. The federal government will establish a special task force under the Federal Investigation headquarters. The new body will coordinate operations against illegal call centres operating across the country.

The task force will investigate allegations involving extortion, blackmail, gambling and various online scams. Authorities will also examine suspected networks involved in cybercrime and other unlawful activities. Moreover, officials will submit daily reports about operations and developments to the Ministry of Interior.
