Pakistan, June 13 -- The federal government has allocated Rs476 billion for green subsidies in the upcoming fiscal year, aiming to support environmentally friendly initiatives across key sectors including energy, agriculture, food, industry and transport. Officials said the plan is part of a broader strategy to promote sustainable development and reduce pollution levels nationwide.

According to budget documents, the subsidies will be distributed under the Green Initiative project, which focuses on encouraging cleaner technologies and eco-friendly practices.
