Pakistan, Sept. 2 -- Gold prices in Pakistan dropped sharply for the second consecutive day on Wednesday. The price of 24-carat gold fell Rs11,300 per tola to Rs454,036. The decline followed another drop in international bullion prices amid a broader market sell-off.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers' Sarafa Association, 10-gram gold also declined. Its price fell Rs9,688 to reach Rs389,262. The latest figures extended the recent decline in Pakistan's domestic bullion market.
Gold had already fallen Rs800 per tola on Tuesday. It stood at Rs465,336 per tola that day, according to market figures. The latest move brought another significant correction in local gold prices.
