Pakistan, July 28 -- Gold prices recorded a significant decline in both international and domestic markets on Tuesday, bringing welcome relief to buyers as the precious metal retreated from recent highs.

According to the latest market rates, the price of 24-karat gold per tola in Pakistan fell by Rs4,300, bringing it down to Rs427,436.

The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also registered a notable decrease of Rs3,687, settling at Rs366,457. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold declined to Rs335,931.

The drop in local gold prices mirrored losses in the international market, where the price of the precious metal fell by $43 per ounce to $4,050.
