Pakistan, Oct. 8 -- The prices of gold witnessed a sharp decline in the local market on Wednesday, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola falling by Rs3,100 to close at Rs434,436, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs2,658 to settle at Rs372,458, whereas the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also dipped by Rs2,436, closing at Rs341,432. In the international market, the bullion price showed a downward trend, decreasing by $31 to reach $4,119 per ounce, the association reported.
