Pakistan, Sept. 9 -- Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Wednesday, following a rise in international gold rates. The local gold price gained Rs800 per tola during the day. As a result, gold reached Rs462,936 per tola in the domestic market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, 10-gram gold also became more expensive. Its price reached Rs396,893 after increasing by Rs686. The latest movement followed gains in the international gold market.
Meanwhile, the international gold rate rose by $8 per ounce. It reached $4,404 per ounce during Wednesday's trading. The global increase also influenced gold prices in Pakistan.
