Pakistan, Aug. 7 -- Gold prices rose for the third consecutive day in Pakistan on Friday, gaining Rs5,100 per tola. The increase followed another strong rise a day earlier.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, gold reached Rs454,336 per tola. The price of 10-gram gold also increased by Rs4,372 to Rs389,519.

In international markets, gold gained $51 per ounce to reach $4,319. The global increase contributed to continued gains in Pakistan's local bullion market.

Meanwhile, silver prices also moved higher across the domestic market. Silver increased by Rs280 per tola to Rs6,939, while 10-gram silver reached Rs5,949.
