Pakistan, Aug. 8 -- Gold prices in Pakistan rose by Rs2,200 per tola on Saturday, following gains in international markets. The increase pushed local gold prices to Rs456,536 per tola.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, 10-gram gold reached Rs391,406. The price increased by Rs1,887 during the day.

The latest increase followed a Rs5,100 rise in the per-tola gold price on Friday. Gold had closed at Rs454,336 per tola after that increase.

Meanwhile, international gold prices also strengthened during Saturday's trading. The international rate increased by $22, reaching $4,341 per ounce.
