Pakistan, Oct. 2 -- Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Friday, following a rise in international gold rates. The price of gold per tola reached Rs440,636 after gaining Rs2,000 during the day.
According to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, 10-gram gold also became more expensive. Its price rose by Rs1,715 to reach Rs377,774.
The latest increase followed a decline in local gold prices on Thursday. Gold per tola had fallen by Rs3,000 during the previous session, reaching Rs438,636.
Meanwhile, international gold prices also moved higher on Friday. The global rate increased by $20 to reach $4,181 per ounce. The rise in international prices supported the increase in Pakistan's local market.
