Pakistan, Aug. 23 -- Gold prices increased sharply in Pakistan on Saturday, with the price of one tola rising by Rs5,700. The latest increase pushed the price to Rs482,936 per tola. The All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association reported the new prices. The rise continues a recent upward trend in the local gold market.

According to the association, the price of 10 grams of gold also increased. The price rose by Rs4,972 and reached Rs414,039. The increase came after another significant rise on Friday. Gold had already become Rs5,200 more expensive per tola during the previous session.
