Pakistan, Aug. 29 -- Gold prices in Pakistan fell sharply on Saturday, following a decline in international gold rates. The local gold price dropped Rs15,100 per tola during the day. The latest decrease brought the price to Rs467,936 per tola.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, 10-gram gold also became cheaper. Its price fell by Rs12,946 to reach Rs401,179. The association provided the latest rates for the local market.

The decline followed a major drop in international gold prices. Global gold prices decreased by $151 per ounce. The international rate reached $4,454 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
