Pakistan, Sept. 11 -- Gold prices in Pakistan fell sharply on Friday, following a decline in the international market. The local gold rate dropped Rs5,600 per tola during the day.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, gold reached Rs456,736 per tola. The price of 10-gram gold also declined by Rs4,801 to Rs391,577.
The latest decline followed another fall recorded during Thursday's trading session. Gold had closed at Rs462,336 per tola after losing Rs600 that day. The latest movement therefore extended the recent decline in local prices.
Internationally, gold prices also moved lower during Friday's trading. The international rate fell by $56 to reach $4,342 per ounce. The local market followed the broader ...
