Pakistan, Oct. 4 -- Former caretaker federal minister Gohar Ejaz has said Pakistan cannot move forward by relying on interest-based financing and loans, stressing that the country needs to promote business and economic activity to address its challenges.
Addressing a gathering at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry , Ejaz said education was the basic right of every child and called for improving the quality of education in government schools. He said the number of schools in the country was insufficient to meet growing needs, with around six million children entering the education system every year.
