Pakistan, Oct. 28 -- Global crude oil prices rose by over one percent on Wednesday following a missile attack on a major Saudi Arabian oil refinery. International benchmark Brent crude futures increased by $1.59, or 1.4 percent, reaching $115.47 per barrel in early morning trading. Simultaneously, US West Texas Intermediate crude futures gained $1.43, or 1.4 percent, settling at $101.33 per barrel. The price increase effectively reversed a previous daily decline of nearly two dollars across international energy trading platforms. Consequently, commodity traders quickly priced in heightened risk premiums across global oil markets.
