Pakistan, May 9 -- Chairman Senate of Pakistan Yousaf Raza Gilani and Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb on Friday discussed matters related to financial discipline, institutional reforms, and the government's austerity measures.

During a meeting, Chairman of the Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani informed the finance minister about the austerity and cost-cutting measures adopted by the Senate Secretariat, stating that the initiative had resulted in substantial savings.

The finance minister appreciated the austerity drive undertaken by the Senate Secretariat and described the savings as a positive example of responsible governance, institutional efficiency, and financial discipline.
