Pakistan, July 30 -- Germany has recorded an estimated 9,800 heat-related deaths so far this year, according to the country's Robert Koch Institute (RKI), as several regions prepare for temperatures expected to exceed 40 degrees Celsius. The health authority said prolonged periods of extreme heat continue to pose a serious risk, particularly for older adults. Officials warned that further heatwaves this summer could increase the number of heat-related deaths across the country.
