Pakistan, Aug. 4 -- Government College University (GCU) has decided to significantly reduce the semester fees of various degree programmes to provide more opportunities for higher education to students. The fees of selected departments will be reduced by about 60 percent. According to the university administration, it has been decided to reduce the semester fees in some departments from Rs 68,000 to Rs 30,000. The fee reduction will be applicable to the relevant departments in both the old and new campuses. According to sources, the decision to reduce the fees has been taken in view of the relatively low rate of admissions in these departments.
