Pakistan, Sept. 30 -- Fans of Game of Thrones will have to wait several years for the franchise to return to cinemas. The upcoming movie, Game of Thrones: Aegon's Conquest, now has an official release date. The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on June 6, 2029.

The project will become the first movie set in the Game of Thrones universe. Owen Harris will direct the film, while Beau Willimon has written the screenplay. Harris has also worked on HBO's upcoming series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
