Pakistan, Sept. 4 -- A total of 48 runners completed Pakistan's first 100-mile multi-stage ultra trail running challenge during a three-day event held in Galiyat.

Organized by Xtreme Adventures, the event covered mountain trails between Namli Gali and Barmi Gali, with participants running nearly 40 kilometres per day and tackling more than 2,000 metres of elevation gain on each stage. Ultra trail running involves distances longer than a marathon and is held on natural terrain, including mountain tracks and forest trails. The Savage 100 challenge tested endurance, recovery, pacing and consistency over three consecutive days.
