Pakistan, June 25 -- Funeral prayers were held in Islamabad for Shahid Akhtar, the elder brother of former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar, with family members, friends and members of the public attending the solemn gathering. The ceremony reflected widespread respect as people came together to offer final prayers and express condolences to the bereaved family.

Former cricketers and political figures also joined the funeral prayers, showing solidarity with Shoaib Akhtar and his family during the difficult time. After the prayers, Shahid Akhtar was laid to rest at H-8 graveyard in Islamabad, where relatives and close associates attended the burial.
