Pakistan, Aug. 14 -- On the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Independence Day celebrations have formally commenced across the province. As part of the celebrations, the Punjab Information and Culture Department organized a grand Independence Day Music Concert at Alhamra Cultural Complex, which was attended by a large number of citizens.

Renowned singers Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Fakhir Mehmood and Yashal Shahid enthralled the audience with their performances. Provincial Information Minister Azma Bokhari, Provincial Minister for Mines and Minerals Sher Ali Gorchani, Information Secretary Tahir Raza Hamdani, and other prominent personalities also attended the event.
