Pakistan, July 31 -- Rescue teams have recovered the bodies of four climbers following a deadly avalanche on Broad Peak in northern Pakistan, while search operations continue for six others who remain missing.

The avalanche struck a group of mountaineers on Thursday afternoon on Broad Peak, the world's 12th-highest mountain at 8,047 metres, located in the Karakoram range near Skardu. The incident buried several climbers under snow and debris, triggering a large-scale rescue effort.
